Encourage skill development in high-school students by helping organize, develop or judge competitions in the 2019 Louisiana SkillsUSA competition, hosted by the Louis Miller Terrebonne Career & Technical High School and the Lafourche Career Magnet Center. More than 500 students from around the state will compete in 54 trade, industrial, technical and health occupations -- all designed to demonstrate skills and abilities needed for employment.
A luncheon meeting will conducted 11 a.m. Oct. 9 at the LMTCT campus in Houma, to discuss options for business participation and support. RSVP by calling 985-851-1163.
